Hey there, space cowboys! Judy here with Punch alongside me as we break down one of the most epic Street Fighter 6 showdowns we've ever seen on Short Fighters. The match was appropriately titled "Armor of the Gods on her side!" and boy, did it live up to its name!
The stage was set in a virtual replica of an ancient Greek colosseum for this celestial clash between two god-tier players: Athena wielding Chun-Li and Ares commanding Ryu. Now strap in folks because this recap is going to be a wild ride.
Right off the bat, Athena’s Chun-Li came out swinging with her signature Hyakuretsukyaku (Hundred Rending Legs), creating a wall of kicks that left Ares' Ryu struggling to find an opening. But don't count him out just yet; Ares retaliated with some well-timed Hadoukens that managed to chip away at Chun-Li's health bar.
But then things really started heating up when Athena activated Chun-Li's V-Skill - Renkiko - which powered up her normal attacks. This divine armor seemed almost impenetrable as she launched into an incredible combo chain that had us all holding our breaths.
However, true warriors never back down easily. In response, Ares initiated Ryu's V-Trigger – Denjin Renki – supercharging his special moves and making them even more deadly than before! He landed a powerful Shoryuken uppercut followed by Tatsumaki Senpukyaku hurricane kick combo which sent Chun-li flying across the screen like a ragdoll!
Just when you thought it was over for Athena though, she pulled off what can only be described as something straight from Olympus itself! She unleashed Chun-li’s Critical Art move - Hoyokusen - delivering a rapid flurry of kicks that not only blocked Ryu's incoming attack but also drained his health bar drastically.
With both fighters on their last legs, the tension in the colosseum was palpable. Ares tried to finish off Chun-Li with a Metsu Shoryuken but Athena saw it coming and dodged! She countered with Kikoken energy blast that landed smack dab into Ryu's face, ending this epic showdown.
What an incredible match! Athena’s divine armor strategy truly proved effective against Ares' relentless assault. This is one for the history books folks!
